The first annual Celebrate Earth Celebrate Music concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Riverside Café at 2223 E. Rosser Avenue in Bismarck. The cost is $5 per individual and $10 per family at the door. The concert features three local bands ranging in style from folk/rock to urban cowboy groove and students from the Suzuki School of Music (SSOM).

Performance schedule features: 5-6 p.m. – SSOM students, Con Brio, a student string ensemble, and a mother/daughter Ehren’s family duet; 6-6:45 p.m. – Midnight Noise Orchestra, an experimental Americana band; 7-7:45 p.m. – Luke Graner, folk-rock singer/songwriter; and 8 – 9 p.m. – Frog Point Landing, an urban cowboy groove band.

A family-friendly Earth Day celebration, enjoy a healthy dinner at the spacious restaurant while enjoying the music of featured acts. Donate your aluminum cans to be recycled for the cause! Proceeds will benefit the Suzuki School of Music and its Early Childhood Education Program.

The Suzuki method of talent education is a philosophy developed by Shinichi Suzuki after World War II in Japan. The philosophy is based on the idea that every child can learn. Beginning at an early age, a child’s active participation, listening to music, and parental involvement are all integral components of this proven method.

The Suzuki School of Music, serving Bismarck-Mandan since 1986, is dedicated to enriching the lives of people in the community through the Suzuki approach of talent education. SSOM offers talent education classes in violin, viola, cello, piano and voice for all ages and infant, toddler and preschool classes for ages newborn to five years old.
